"Despite its acclaim, 'Laputa: Castle in the Sky' has faced some criticism. Detractors argue that the plot may feel overly familiar,
borrowing elements from other fantasy adventures. Additionally,
some viewers find fault in the pacing, suggesting that certain scenes could have been better developed to enhance the overall narrative flow. While the animation quality is generally praised, some critics have noted inconsistencies in character design in certain sequences. It's important to acknowledge these critiques alongside the film's positive aspects to have a well-rounded perspective on 'Laputa: Castle in the Sky.'"
